FAQ

Frequently asked
questions

We ask for a minimum of four to six months in Level 1, or equivalent salsa experience from another studio — and instructor approval either way. This level moves fast, and the approval is there so you land in a room that fits you.

Baskets, copas, double turns, shines and arm variations, plus smoother transitions between them. This is the level where structured learning turns into real social dance freedom.

Latin dance shoes are highly recommended at this level — dance sneakers or anything with a hard sole works too. Avoid thick rubber soles: sneakers, boots, clogs or flip-flops grip the floor and fight the turns Level 2 is built on.

After a minimum of four months in Level 2, plus instructor approval, you move into Level 3 — Mambo Jam.
